Preparing to Breastfeed - antenatal course

Breastfeeding is natural like walking, not natural like breathing... it takes practice & support!

Are you pregnant and planning to breastfeed your baby?

In the UK, 8 out of 10 women give up breastfeeding before they want to. Sometimes this is due to lack of support, sometimes it is due to myths about how breastfeeding works and what your baby needs, and sometimes it is because breastfeeding and the responsibility of a new baby can feel overwhelming.

Arming yourself with knowledge about how breastfeeding works and how to overcome the most common difficulties, and having the emotional tools to ensure that you feel calm and positive about your breastfeeding journey and the early weeks of parenthood can make all the difference.

In this 3 week course you and your partner will:

  • Learn how to breastfeed comfortably & how to resolve the most common difficulties
  • Understand the impact that the brain has on your body's ability to make milk and to connect with your baby
  • Learn simple but powerful tools to help breastfeeding and the early weeks feel calmer and less daunting
  • Prepare for the 4th trimester, with guidance on baby-wearing & safe sleeping
  • Access the support you need
  • Receive a selection of relaxations on MP3 & hard copy handouts

Courses are held on Tuesday evenings, 7pm - 8.30pm, at Hey Baby 4D scanning clinic, Tunbridge Wells

£95 per couple
